Hello Everyone,

After a lovely holiday in France, it is good to be back and hopefully, share some of my happiest moments with you.

This wonderfully moody shot was captured on the beach at St. Malo, near to where we were staying.

The sun was beginning to set when these star-like sunbeams suddenly thrust their way through the clouds.

I was so pleased that the couple were in the distance to add a little romance and a focal point.

Many thanks for your interest.
Please feel free to add feedback on any aspect of the photograph.

pp slight crop, added a gentle, light vignetting, slight burning on the clouds, added borders and signed.

Hello Beverley,

Long time, no see!
How are you doing?
A beautiful capture of the beach with powerful sunrays. I like the rays trying to pierce through the thick layer of black clouds, brining 'hope' into the shot. The sand appears to be 'freeze', acting as a polished szurface, thereby reflecting the sunlight smoothly. The landscape in the BG is nice and there is great play between the light and shadow, can be seen in your beautiful composition.
Very well done!

Have a nice day.

best regards,
Paras Bhalla

Hi Beverley,

Excellent idea and composition play!
Very spectacular this landscape.
I wish you all the best,
Adrian

Hi Beverley!

It really has a certain mood, I always love these sunrays captured. A like the composition for being a bit surprising, as I thought for first that it's water all the way but then saw it starts further. The almost b&w adds to the feel that the weather makes. TFS!

Best regards,
Andor

Hi Bev:)

Hi Bev,
Welcome back!! You have been missed! A nice way to return, very moody looking photo indeed. Such a simplistic capture, but has a lot of 'attitude' to it. I love how the rays are subtly sneaking through the clouds, and seem to give life to the dark and gloomy ground below. The couple in the distance really are a bonus. Well photographed.

TFS,
Scott.

This really is amazing! Perfect timing and incredible detail. I love the mood, and I agree the people add much to it. I've had no luck at all capturing the rays so I'm very impressed. TFS

Very moody indeed Bev. I do love the rays of light poking through the well defined clouds and the outline of the distant mountains. The b&w rendition in a vertical format is effective. Regards.
Danilo

a beautiful shot of natural cloudy sky and excellent sun light.
I like the image of cloud, it shows me wonderful various stages of nature.
and the sun through cloud looks very photogenic.

Hello Beverley

I'm glad you enjoyed your well deserved holiday in France. At first, I thought this was b&w, then noticed the tinges of blue skylight. Good semi radial pattern of the sunbeams. Tfs!
