Good Morning Everyone,

This is St. Malo from a less usual point of view. I like it because it shows the close relationship between the town and the water.

The shot was taken from across the weir, where a river empties into the harbour. Behind is the route to the very moving Second World War Memorial whilst in front, you can see the tall French houses with their pretty mix of pastel colours. (My husband has chosen his house ... when we win the lottery!)

Many thanks for your interest.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. Bev :-)

Good Morning, Beverley :)

Beautiful view fused with nice colors, taken with great sharpness and from a well chosen POV. I like the mood in teh picture. The houses in the BG are simply well seen. The colors in the picture are very natural, a great harmony of them present in the shot indeed. Very well done!

best regards,
Paras Bhalla

I can understand why you like this place and the houses!
A good point of view! I like the pastell colours.
One minor thing..... the orange colours at the beach is from a little too much pp-work. Can you see it???

Hi Bev,
Nice wide panoramic-like shot, good lead-in with the curve. I quite like the soft blue tones in the sky here too. I reckon it could so with a bit more sharpening however - Other than that it looks very good.

TFS,
Scott.

Hi Beverley
Very nice pano view. the composition is fine too but would have preferred if managed to lead-inn more from the right side of ur frame. Sharpness can be improved in PP work thats not an issue but i think this lens is not good at this aperture may be f/11 can work fine :)

Hi Bev,

I like this view of St Malo the colour of the houses in the bg stand out very well. The sky is very light in colour the water of both river and sea are a nice shade of blue. I like the framing with a touch of gilding against the black well done.

dear Beverley,
like a painting,
this is a beautiful panoramic view of special buildings and the sea/river.
colors are so lovely and figures of houses and boats look pretty miniature models.
distant sky with floating cotton clouds and rippled water make excellent perspective, also curve and horizontal lines are effective to it.
thank you for your wonderful picture,
Akihisa

Hi Beverley

I like the natural looking, pastel colours. Perhaps a very slight cw rotation, & some slight sharpening? Well composed, with the sweeping curve of the barrage adding good lead in lines. Well done!

Hello Beverley! Wonderful small town, amazing sails, nice light and natural colours, good contrast and sharpness. Very good take. Well done!

Bonjour Beverley
A beautiful landscape from the good POV.Nice colours too and density but in my opinion I should have liked perfect sharpness on one point at least and certainly rotated clockwise 1° with photofiltre.
However, a nice impression
Have a nice Sunday
Henri

Hi Bev
aaah St Malo, where are van broke down, although its a nice place for you a campervan to break down. A lovely postcard for sure, a good choice to present in pano for us, seems so calm and relaxing.
Well done
