It must be sooo wonderful to be able to paint or draw like this! I have always been a bit envious of people who can do it.
My lack of talent on this field is mainly the cause of my photography career....

I love looking at people painting and I love looking at paintings and art.
So I think this is a lovely picture. It shows the artist at work, his model and his work around him.
Lovely light, sharpness and a lovely scene!

Hi Bev,

These artists can be seen all over France and there work is usually very good as can be seen in this case. An excellent shot showing the artist at work with all her wares displayed, try this in GB and the police would move them on. As usual the details are very sharp and colours are good the pov and dof are very good tfs.

Nice POV on this, by look of the clients face wonder if he really wanted to be there ...
your detail obtained not only on the people but the paintings shows very nicely.

Was thinking if you had been able to a shot over the painters shoulder would have been very interesting as well.

Hi Bev,

Great shot of a man at work, with some of his work. It's quite a contrast between a man who is not at work (I'm assuming that the "sitter" does something else), and one who is. Good detail, and very rich colours -- especially, the green. Very appropriate contribution to the theme. TFS.

pas facile d'arriver sur une place touristique ce genre de sujet; il y a souvent trop de monde...
bon cadrage qui a su éviter la foule
pas facile non plus je pense de poser; le jeune semble être arrivé à rentrer dans une bulle isolante et celà donne à ta photo une ambiance très particulière et sympathique
enfin bravo à 'artiste qui a un superbe coup de crayon!

I am almost sure you know the young man...Don't you?
Nice scene as you can see too near the Sacré Choeur in Paris, Place du Tertre.The description could be the same as that you write here with a lot of cafes and barmen in beginning of the XXth century dress.
Good composition , people in natural attitude and living scene.Maybe should I have tried to blur people in the background or even rubbed the one over the head of the model.
