Hello Beverley,this brings back memories of pleasant holidays in and around St.Malo.
You show the distinctive walls and buildings of this lovely town.
The launch takes us nicely into the picture as it leaves its wake in a diagonal across the deep blue water.

This is beautiful!

A very fitting posting for this theme but also a lovely picture in its own right. The composition is wonderful, with the near boat and its follwing wake drawing the eye deep into the harbour and the city of Saint-Malo. The soft blue sky contrasts with the deep blue of the sea and, between them, the brown buildings (brown goes so well with blue) and boats are shown in incredible detail and sharpness.

I don't know how I missed this lovely capture, with such wonderful color tones and series of fabulous buildings in the BG!
I like the great contrast between the golden tones of buildings and the perfect blue sky with introduction of clouds in far BG. The water in FG adds superb beauty to the shot too. Great POV and nice sharpness, as always.

The wake of the boat provides good lead in lines. A superb pov with attractive, reflected blue skylight. Good sharpness & composition. Tfs!

Hi Beverley,
I already visited this beautiful old city, but never with a such beautiful point of view! Excellent composition.
The wake from the boat in foreground makes a good lead-in towards the city. The shadows on the city enhances the volumes of the differents parts while the light lets see good details on the walls. The small white boats give animation and contrast at the scene. This is really beautiful! Annie
