[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Action shots with dogs is not complicated. They love jumping and running in high grass tufts, specially when it's windy like today in Normandy.
Just ask your dog to lay down and don't move. Then, throw his favourite rubber ball, or whatever, in high grass. He has roughly noticed the place, but shouldn't move yet. Place yourself at 4 meters of the presumed track he will follow to find the object, about half-way. Make sure you have no distractive background (sky is ideal) and just enough grass tops in the foreground. Take a low point of view. Your camera has been previously set manually (focus 4 m and shutter speed 1/800 sec). Then, send your dog. To counterbalance shutter delay inherent to some digital cameras, you will have to anticipate accordingly. Some trial shots will be necessary to find out the right timing. That's all. Have fun! (at least, sure your dog will have)

C'est une très jolie photo. A mon point e vue tout y est, la couleur, les contrastes, le mouvement arrêté, le point de vue (comme tu dis), et on se demande ce que le superbe chien vient de flairer. Très bien et instructif, bravo.

sweeeet i like ur dog is really cute, u have a nice composition, cool colors, excellent focus, great DOF. =) nice work

Fantastic stop action. The timing is wonderful. I particularly like th streamline pose with the paw curled, ready for the next stride. Must be a great ball. Well done.

Your dog pictures are just unbelievable. I love the way you freeze the dog in mid-air. It looks like it's going fast and doesn't want to get too much air not to waste any speed. Very sharp details too.

This is great! It makes me want to see what the dog is pursuing.

A beautiful and very well executed shot Jean Michel, you are really very talented in these types of shots, it is probably easy for you because it comes so naturally.
Good composition with lovely motion and excellent colour, very good exposure.
My compliments to you!
