Poor Portugal
Most of the fires in Portugal are now under control. This photo was taken in 2004 on Corse
What you can see is the power of nature. There is already some green.

Hi Ruud

I like the repetition of the trees & their mottled appearance. Shame about the fires. Im glad they're under control. Good work!

Hello ruud,

This is a very good oicture whit strong graphical elements. I realy like it!

Ahum, points to improve maybe: it is a bit light and this picture needs a imple frame I think.

It give a strange aspect to these trees. It's look terrible for Portugal effectively! Fire in the forest is something natural and a continuation of evolotuion. But when it decide to pass by the village or the city.. It's a nightmare!
Well, about that compo, the burning give the impression we see long neck of 3 cutious animal!

A good reporter has to bring/show all the news !
Ruud.. my simpathy gooes to the people there who lost so much while we boys fiddle around on our computers doing nice and leisure time things..
Not to mention the poor animals how did not came out alive..
Never the less your photo has a ''macabre''kind off beauty .. when was it taken??

Hello Ruud,

Great POV and framing. You also found the ideal grop. Very good work, theme and note.
;-) Thomas

Every year the fire destroys lot of forests in Portugal, kills firemans, leaves people homeless...and every year nothing is done...This year was no exception...unfortunately...

Thanks for your foto...quite simple and beautiful.
