[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture I made last holiday in the Ardeche in France. This kind of butterfly is called "Keizersmantel" ("Emperors Coat"). I think because of it's orange/red/brown colour with black spots. And mostly they were sitting on lavender, even as the "Swallowtail". I like butterflies and took this picture.

A little magenta in PS and a bit brightness/contrast.

I hope you like this Picture too.

Beautiful Don...you are a well skilled butterfly photographer...my compliments.
Een prettig weekend aan jou en je familie ;-)

Hello Don, this is a beautiful macro capture. I like how you made the wing overleaping the frame but on the bottom and right side the repetition caused by the stamp tool looks a bit strange for me!! It's my personal taste, but for me your pic would work well only with the wing out of the frame! I hope you don't mind my critique! :)
cheers

Hi Don

Wonderful sharpness, dof, & color. I like the diagonal axis of the butterfly, & striking color patterns. Good work!

Hello Don
What a nice photo and colors

Hi Don,
Nice macro with a good composition and PP. The frame results very well too.
Best regards,

Hi Don,

Prachtig gedaan ! Mooi ingekaderd ook.

Marleen

Hello Don, you have a great lens to capture this butterfly so close without scaring it.

Nice details although a little blured on the left wing. Is it because you cloned it to make the wing go on the frame?

Nice colours and composition. Take care, Yan

Very nice butterfly picture, Don, as they are easy to photograph as they don't stay put for very long so you have to be ready (and probably patient). Maybe a bit of a lack of sharpness on the left wing but otherwise very nicely done. Bravo!

Hi Don

Very fine composition. Great framing, excellent and fine colors. Nice work.

your butterfly photos are excellent, they never stay still for me, just when I think I got them when I look at the photo all I have is a tree and no butterfly lol
a big hug for you,
Christine.

a good overall piece of work! Your frame escpecially is inspiring!

Good composition, excellent colors but, unfortunately, the butterfly isn't sharp. :(
