This little paper boy is Flat Stanley, the star of a children's book who gets mailed around the world. Kids in lots of schools make their own Stanleys and mail them to kids in other countries, and those kids take pictures of Stanley to send back with him. It's a great way for kids to learn about the world!

The real boy in this picture looks very sad. It's because his older sister just got mad at him and at me for taking a picture without her in it. She was saying, "I'm going to tell Mom on you!" and her brother was getting worried. But nothing bad happened and they were all smiles again a few seconds later. :)

But for some reason I like the look on his face in this picture... it reminds me of how I feel sometimes when I'm having a rough day. Wouldn't it be nice if our rough days were as easy to fix as a little kid's rough days? Give them a smile and a hug, and suddenly their world is perfect again! Well, it's not so easy for adults, but a smile and a hug can still go a long way!

Lovely POV and framing. It makes the lad look small and isolated, which is about how he must have felt at that moment.
Well done indeed
Best regards
Silke
