[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Until 1990 the Brocken Mountain used to be a border place between two German countries. After the reunification of Germany the place is a huge tourist attraction.
Here, on our to Brocken, in a old train powered in the traditional way by coal. A lot of fun.

German reunification took place on 3 October 1990, when the five re-established states of the German Democratic Republic (GDR / East Germany) joined the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG / West Germany), and Berlin was united into a single city-state. The start of the latter reunification process is by former citizens of Eastern Germany (GDR) commonly referred to as die Wende (The Turning Point).
