Window Self-Portrait

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I like German windows! This particular type of window is used on the slanted walls of a room under the roof. It opens outward on the bottom so that the air can come in but the rain cannot. Other windows on straight walls open two ways; if you turn the handle one way, you can make the top of the window tip outwards, and if you turn the handle the other way, the window will swing open like a door.
I was relaxing in this chair at a friend's house in Heidelberg when I looked up to find out if I could see the stars. I couldn't see the stars, but I could see myself in the window! I decided to make a picture by setting my camera on the arm of the chair and using the self-timer. The green leaves in front of the window are part of a potted plant that was next to the chair. I know I look sort of strange in the picture, but it was a fun experiment. |

Hello Erin,
Creative idea!
I like the composition, and the tilt adds dynamics...
