[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the picture that will end our walk through Heidelberg under the sign of animals. It is called the "S-Printing Horse", it gallops joyfully in front of the building of the Print Media Academy. With it's 13 meters height, 15 meters length and 90 tons of weight, it has a claim to being the worlds largest horse sculpture. To be honest, having to speak about these attributes about a work of art, does not quite place it on my list of favorites. But putting the numbers aside, this statue made by Jurgen Goertz between 1998 and 2000 is quite cute.
The reason it is called "S-Printing Horse" is that it's components illustrate parts of a printing press and the printing process (Heidelberg is one of the prime centers of the printing industry in the world).
If you look at the upper right corner, you see the weather took an interesting turn, so wherever the next day will take us it will not be a dry place!

Érdekes fotó, nem mindennapi látvány ez a szobor egy ilyen épület előtt. Ami a képet illeti pengeéles és a tárgy is jól elhelyezett. Tiszta, éles szinek, gyönyörű építészeti látvány. Hasznos a tájékoztató jegyzet is.

Very attractive composition Tibi. The modern huge sculpture infront of the glass building certainly demands attention. The car passing gives viewers a scale of how massive the statue is. Best regards, Danilo

Először is köszönöm a jókívánságokat az új gépem kapcsán. Valóban ritkán voltam itt ebben az évben, de igyekszem a jövőben több időt szakítani a TL-re.

Remek kép. Ha nem írod, mit ábrázol, kentaurra gondoltam volna, esetleg bányalóra. :) A kommunista idők ízléstelen szocreál 'műremekeire' emlékeztet. No de ez a szobrász hibája, nem a fotósé. Te remekül komponáltad ezt a vasvackot a képbe. Az egyetlen, apró hiba, hogy alig észrevehetően bár, de egy kicsit balra dől az egész. Vagy én vagyok gerincferde? :)

Hi Tibi
Now that is an INTERESTING abstract horse well worth your time and effort to share with the world. It simply dwarfs the light post by it's feet. Not my kind of art however.

a very suggestive object and its capturing...
like joyful dream of children, and its name is just a joke.
it reminds me of Marc Chagall's horse in his painting.
only it can sprint in the surrealistic imagination.
