Nice shot, good composition; however, it's missing the focus a little.

A nice choice of contrast. I think the dead leaf works well with the grass. The flower appears just a fraction bright, but this in some way emphasises the life. I did however think that the balance between the left and right is lacking (ie the flower and leaf are on the left but nothing really on the right to balance). I had though it might look better with the right 1/3 of the photo cropped, then thought it could probably be just me.
