Hello Thomas

Thats a good macro and effective use of backlight.
I however, find alot of noise here, may be high ISO.
I recommend u to use fill flash with lower power of flash light for better output :)

Being unable to take macro shots, I have to say this impresses me. Perhaps it's not up to the stunning standard of some, but it's a lot better than most. I like the almost-film-quality grain of the shot, the very shallow field of focus.

Oh but I don't like snails. They ate all my parsley and I am currently at war with an entire species.

Very good shot for a first time Thomas.
It's an amazing creature. But i don't realy like them, they damage my garden and as food i don't like them too.

Good sharp focus on the subject and great light.

I really so like this Thomas! the bokeh is really great here!
The backlight on the snail is amazing... makes it transparent.

I know the "wow" is not really welcome here on Treklens...but it surelly apply to this shot.

This is so nice. You've managed to capture the transparency of the feet of that snail perfectly. Love the play of light in this shot. Nice shadows..lot of rich details and feel of texture. Very nice colours and tones. This is nice.

eine interessante Aufnahme. Und das, wo du es mit Viechern sonst ja nach eigener Aussage nicht so hast ;-) (im photografischen Sinne).
Die Schnecke sieht klasse aus, ganz transparent. So ästhetisch habe ich die kleinen Biester noch nie dargestellt gesehen.
Das Bild sieht etwas verrauscht aus, oder war das ein Effekt, den du beabsichtig hast?
Das Licht, das von hinten kommt, hast du perfekt eingefangen und für diese Komposition zu nutzen gewusst.

Hi Thomas,
I find it quite a challenge to photograph snails as they rarely stay out of their shell long enough after having spotted us!
This is a very nice shot and I especially like the light. The colors and composition are very nice.
I do find the BG a bit noisy and took the liberty of doing a WS hoping that you like it.

I don't mind about the noise. I think the lighting is terrific and the noise doesn't spoil it for me. Great shot.
