The man on the moon looked through my window yesterday night - and I couldn't resist playing Paparazi.
Have a nice Sunday.
I forgot a little secret:
The sky around looks very dark and free of stars.
One reason - I always shoot the moon during the blue hour when he has just rised above the horizon. The contrast on the surface is low and it is not dark enough to see stars then but it is much easier to catsch the different shades on the moon as in the middle of the night when the moon is up high and the stars are shining. Due to the spot metering on the brightest part of the moon the sky turns dark and black anyway. |

Nice capture of the moon with excellent exposure. You gave an informative hint how to photograph the moon in the blue hour!

Hallo Thomas,
eine faszinierende Aufnahme, zumal du sie früh am Abend gemacht hast, viel früher, als ich vermutet hätte. Aber dank deiner Erklärung weiß ich nun, wie und warum.
Ich finde es sehr schön, dass du den nicht vollen Mond hier zeigst, etwas, das mir zuvor auf TL noch nicht aufgefallen ist.
Sehr spannend finde ich die Brauntöne auf der Mondoberfläche. Ich hätte sie grau erwartet, aber braun?
Der weiße Rahmen rundet das Bild gut ab, hält er doch das Auge des Betrachters bei der Aufnahme, ohne abzulenken und ohne ein Eigenleben zu führen. Sehr gut gemacht.
