[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Following the good critiques of TL memebers briddl and rewshearer, I tried another shooting with the same little flower under different light and camera settings. Again I have used a tripod. This exposure now comes straight out of the camera (I always shoot in JPG)and the only pp work is crop, sharpened after resize and add a frame. Now - the sky is cloudy today and so there was less contrast between the flower and the dark BG. Aperture was F 13.0 at 90 mm focal lengthat at ISO 320. Metering spot on the yellow stuff. White balance was set to shadow area and that is it.
In my eyes this exposure is very close to what my eyes saw. Hope this helps for those who are interesste in the technical things.

That's a very sharp macro of this tiny flower with a fabulous aperture of f/13 and with little PP work you adopted.
Amazing details can be studied in the heart of the flower.
Wonderful colors and a superb subdued lighting!
A nice example of clean macro photography!

Hi Thomas,
diese Aufnahme ist klasse! Die Perspektive ist super, sehr ungewöhnlich. Und ich kann es nur wiederholen, dass diese Violetttöne wunderschön sind.
Bei dieser Aufnahme kommen auch die gelben Dinger besser zur Geltung als bei der vorangegangenen.
Die Details sind sehr gut zu erkennen, es scheint so, als könne man Staubkörnchen auf dem langen Blatt unten sehen.
Der vertikale Bildaufbau passt sehr gut zu dieser Präsentation, obwohl aus der anderen Aufnahme ja bekannt ist, dass auch die horizontale Präsentation wunderbar funktioniert.
Dein Fotoobjekt ist einfach klasse.
Die Rahmung funktioniert hier auch perfekt, wird doch da das kaum wahrnehmbare Weiß der feinen Fädchen im Inneren der Blüte aufgegriffen.
Gut finde ich auch, dass im Hintergrund noch irgendetwas zu sehen ist, ohne sagen zu können, um was es sich handelt. Dadurch wird die Klarheit der Aufnahme im Bereich der Blüte und der Blätter noch weiter hervorgehoben.
