What's the secret for a better world ?
If there is any maybe it is hiding in photography.

The original reduced from raw is stored in the workshop.
Postprocessing of the original raw:
- in camera raw
- slightly reduced exposure to -0,3
- filled up lights to 39
- opened as smart object in cs3
- stored under name rose_backgroud
- cropped
- applied curves correction to darken it a bit - here I just used the preset "darker (rgb) - and someone will hate me for this :)
- changed to lab mode
- applied sharpening to L with usm (25, 20, 1)
- back to rgb mode
- stored under name rose_foreground
Processing of the photo:
- file -> new, photo, landscape 8x10 => results in layer 0
- applied layer style "stroke" to layer 0 => results in tiny frame
- file -> place, file rose_background => results in layer 1
- applied free transform, resized and placed rose_background in layer 1
- reduced opacity to 45%
- file -> place, file rose_foregrund => results in layer 2
- applied free transform, resized and placed rose_foreground in layer 2
- applied layer style "drop shadow" to layer 2
- added type => results in layer 3
- applied layer style "drop shadow" to layer 3 (same properties as for layer 2)
- converted all layers to one smart object
- reduced image size using bicubic sharper
- saved for web at 83% |

Hello my friend,
I`m not quite a fan of this kind of photography so I`m not qualified to critisize it but even so,I do not find it very atractive.
Maybe is the fact that the real picture is just thumbnail size and the rest of the photo is...as it is.
I think it`s missing something and maybe you should think about it too,considering the fact that it doesn`t really have comments or critiques.
The note is excellent though and I think you even did more than needed for this website.
In conclusion,if I`d use smileys,you would get half of one for your effort:)
P.S. Don`t spend to much time in Photoshop; do it behind the camera...
