Hey Kristof,
Magnificent vantage point and view. Awesome composition with the house on the right hand side. Very deep greens and the houses down the bottom give a good indication of how high up you were. Very nice shot.

don't you wish sometimes to live in that Eagle's Nest at least for the WE? The view is superbe and definitely magnificient and the atmosphere is charming altho a bit mysterious... great POV, great take.. impressive really.. and what a note!!

I think this POV is already worth the effort to reach this location and enjoy the scenery. I like the 2 layers of the mountain, one in sharp focus near you and another far away beyond the valley, with a nice view of the houses in the deep valley below. A great shot! One day I would like to visit here.

I remember watching Adolf Hitler & his family, enjoying the view from Eagles Nest, in old b&w movies, shown at University, when I was studying history classes. Good pov & dramatic lighting. I like the minimalist colour. Tfs!

To witness a thunderstorm at that altitude must be a bit frightening with the sounds bouncing around.
