Sea of Tranquility
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| That place on the moon, where is no wind, no air, no water, no sound, nothing but stone and dust; an awkward place for such a beautiful name. If you search for tranquility on earth the Obersee in the german state Bavaria gives you more then silence and dust. Protected by mighty mountains, clear as colossal mirror, frozen in time as an everlasting painting that's my sea of tranquility. When I made this picture nature held it's breath...for a whole day. |
