[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Die Seerose ist eine mehrjährige krautige Pflanze. Diese Wasserpflanze bildet verzweigte Rhizome, aber keine Stolonen. Die dunkelgrünen Laubblätter sind lang gestielt. Die 10 bis 25 cm großen, schildförmigen Blattspreiten haben einen Wachsüberzug, der sie vor der Benetzung auf der Oberseite schützt. Sie sind ledrig derb, um den aufprallenden Regentropfen und dem Wellengang widerstehen zu können. Die für die Atmung wichtigen Spaltöffnungen befinden sich - anders als bei Landpflanzen - auf der Blattoberseite. Die Blätter haben außerdem weitmaschige Lufträume im Gewebe, von wo aus die durch die Spaltöffnungen aufgenommene Atemluft durch Luftkanäle im Blattstiel zum Rhizom geleitet werden.

The water lily is a perennial herbaceous plant. This water plant is branched rhizomes, but no stolons. The dark green leaves are long stalked. The 10 to 25 cm wide, shield-shaped leaf blades have a waxy coating that protects them from the wetting on the top. They are leathery tough to resist the impacting raindrops and the wave motion. The key to the respiratory stomata are - in contrast to land plants - on the leaf surface. The leaves also have wide-meshed air spaces are in the tissue from which the absorbed through the stomata air through air ducts in the petiole directed to the rhizome.

Hi Janusz,

Fantastic macro capture of the water-lily with vivid colors! The sharpness and POV are just perfect, and the flower seems to be glowing in the comparatively dark green sorroundings. I like the vibrant colors of the flowers with golden-yellow colored central part of it. The pollens look so tender and soft. The green leaves give great contrast to the light colored flowers. A wonderful harmony of colors can be seen in your composition.

Hi Janusz

The semi circular lily pad (as cropped in-frame here) provides good lead in lines, in this superb macro shot of the waterlily. Excellent sharpness, colour, lighting & saturation. Well done!

piękna lilia wodna. Podobają mi się te kwiaty w odmianie białej i różowej. Dobrze umieszczony na fotografii - asymetrycznie, żółty środek kwiatu. Na ciemnym tle lilia "wychodzi" do nas.
