[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this photo at the Bratwursthasle in Nuremberg, Germany. This is a restaurant that is famous for Nuremberger sausages, served with sauerkraut or German potato salad. They are small white sausages that are grilled and absolutely fabulous.

This window is made of the bottoms of glass bottles. The building was at least a couple of hundred years old but I'm not sure of the age of this window. Kits for cutting bottles can be purchased from a stained glass supplier. Instructions for this operation are simple enough and come with the kit. Uncut bottles also have their uses. They do not have to be molded in a kiln to be used in stained glass work, although if you have a kiln you can get some interesting shapes by twisting and collapsing bottles with heat, both with and without molds.

In addition, the bottoms of many wine and beer bottles can gain a secondary life of their own as decorative items when separated from the bottle itself. Not only the bottoms but also the sides of bottles because of their ready curvature, are natural for a boat's sails or any object requiring a bend. Even the tops of bottles can be strung together as effective wind chimes.

Without a bottle cutting kit, bottles can be cut with little difficulty using a hot wire or a carborundum blade in a hacksaw handle. The hot wire technique requires just that: a wire heated red hot is wrapped around the bottle and then removed and the bottle plunged into cold water.

I adored the atmosphere of this restaurant, gorgeous the well detailed forms of glasses, windows, of a soft coloring and see the wall of the front that favour, that the slightness that gives in the environment.
