[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Es lag nicht in der Absicht Ludwigs II., Versailles detailgetreu zu kopieren. Die zentralen Räume im Mitteltrakt des Schlosses - hier besonders bedeutend das Paradeschlafzimmer und der Spiegelsaal - genügten ihm, sich in die Rolle des Sonnenkönigs einzufinden. Auf die von Hofgärtendirektor Carl von Effner ab 1875 geplanten Gartenanlagen übertragen bedeutete dies, dass nur die Gartenräume in der Mittelachse detailliert nachgebildet werden mussten.
Es waren dies Richtung Westen das "Parterre d'eau", bestehend aus zwei großen, auf Wunsch Ludwigs II. durch die Figuren der Fama und Fortuna mythologisch überhöhten Bassins, das Blumenparterre mit dem Latonabrunnen sowie der "Grand Canal", vor dessen spiegelnder Oberfläche sich der Apollobrunnen erheben sollte. Vor dem Schlafzimmer erstreckte sich Richtung Osten die auf eine Länge von 900 Metern projektierte Auffahrtsallee, an deren seeseitigem Ende eine Schiffsanlegestelle geplant war.

It was not the intention of Ludwig II, Versailles detail to copy. The central areas in the central wing of the castle - especially the prime importance of the bedroom and the Hall of Mirrors - satisfy him in the role of the Sun King einzufinden. Hi Jan,
Nice shot, I like the effect of the water from the slow shutter speed. The details look very clear and sharp. It looks quite crooked though, perhaps it could do with a slight rotate to even things up a bit. Nice deep DOF from f/22, good job.

Hello Jan,
A lovely formal garden highlighted by the well defined fountain. The gap between the bushes demonstrate good depth, the colors are attractive, a slight rotation would perhaps enhance the image. I enjoy viewing this. Best regards.

Hi Janusz,

Beautiful shot of the fountain and well-landscaped grounds. Perfect DOF and the shutter speed chosen was good to soften the water. A slight rotation clockwise is needed to level the photo.
