The Rottach lake lies between the places Mossbach and Petersthal.
The Rottachsee lies so harmoniously embedded in On and from the Allgäuer prealpine country that he wakes the impression, it is - like most of his "neighbours" within the Allgäuer lowland plain full of lakes - a product of the melting glaciers from the last ice age. However, it concerns one of the latest reservoirs of Bavaria.
In the meantime, has developed of the Rottachsee to the popular water paradise for swimmers, yachtsman, surfers, diver and anglers. On his shores ample leisure arrangements were furnished on both sides with sanitary facilities, changing rooms, kiosk, place Beachvolleyball, playing areas and boat moorings. At the same time new living spaces have originated in ecologically protected areas for animals and plants. Islands, shallows zones and deep water areas in narrow dovetailing form a mosaic of different locations and with it condition for varied long-term relationships between flora and fauna.
The just 15 km long footpath and cycle track invites to an extensive walk or a small bicycle tour all around the lake.
The dam to the regulation of the water guidance of the Iller was established by the free state Bavaria in the years from 1984 to 1992; accompanied by violent protests of the population. Today the waves of the opposition have smoothed, because the Rottach lake shows a successful linking of technology and nature.
With a sea surface of 300 ha the Rottach lake is the biggest lake in the administrative district Oberallgäu and 60 ha greater than the big nightmare lake with Immenstadt.
There are beaches, parking bays and kiosks on the sea shore with Bisseroy, moss brook and Petersthal. One finds sail landing stages in moss brook and Petersthal.

Hallo,
eine architektonisch interessante und malerische Pumpstation, man kann denken die Konstruktion steht ein bisschen unter dem asiatischen Einfluss, gute zentrale Komposition

Hi Juergen
very good reflection
nice colors and beautiful
view and place for taking colorful shots.

Good subject.
Personally I think it would've been better with the pump station off-centre rather than in the middle of the frame.
Also a grad filter or polarizer might help with that over-bright sky vs. the deeper tones of the water?
