These pictures have special memories for me. A visit to Hannover on a lovely, lazy day. While walking through the city, I spotted these two little sailships on a lake in the middle of the city. I think the people on it had a same lazy afternoon, like I did. Or maybe that's just my idea..
The 'Maschsee' is an 2.4 km long and 180 to 530 meters wide, artificially created lake in Hannover (also known as 'The blue eye of Hannover'). It is a popular local recreation area and the largest water in the state capital of Lower Saxony, which makes numerous kinds of watersports possible.
The name of the lake derives from the so-called "Line machine" or simply "machine". This is symbol for the landscape designation for the area, in which the lake was put on. It is a flood area lain more deeply, in which the river 'Leine' (Line) flows. |

Hallo Mariet
Fonkelend mooi en een creative weergave.
Goede compositie.
Groet Frans
Hoi Mariet,
Een mooie collage van deze twee zeilboten. Het Z/W werkt in deze foto's erg goed, en alle drie hebben ze een perfect contrast verhouding. De schitteringen op het water zijn gewoon prachtig.
Groeten,
Niek
