| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
On a cold night my friend and I used our fire basket for the first time to burn some logs and keep ourselves warm after the first barbecue in our new house.
I went to get my camera and tried to get a shot of the warm fire.
Here is one of these shots. I just resized it. I did not make any changes to the colours or contrasts.
I like this photo just for the remembrance of a perfect day and evening. |

Hi
Very interested foto.

Britta,
Welcome to Trek Lens!
We all like staring into a fire, it's hypnotising! I think this fell a little flat with the colors but overall I liked the shot enough to try a workshop. That's not to say I don't like your version. The composition is nice as well as the exposure, I hope you don't mind the workshop!

It's sheer energy you've captured, Britta... and you did a good job. With the top of the flames in the shot it would have been perfect, but that's just a detail. The flames are well captured, and jou did a good job on keeping the backdrop dark.
I prefer this version over Scott's ws, even if that shows a wee bit more detail in the flames.

Hello Britta,
That is an excellent shot. The color of the fire has come out really well, without getting over exposed. Great framing of the shot too.
