This shot was taken on a day when the "Queen Mary 2" cruised down the river Elbe from Hamburg towards the North Sea.

I was standing at the "Lühe Anleger" (people around here refer to this place as LA ;-) ), Lower Saxony, looking at the other side of the river, belonging to Schleswig-Holstein (former English name: Sleswick-Holsatia).

Whenever the Queen Mary 2 is heading to Hamburg or back to the North Sea there are many spectators along the river, taking photos and celebrating a party. I don't know what to think about this behaviour...but it is quite funny somehow as Hamburg has a really busy port and you can see tall ships coming and going every day. But to the people the QM2 is special. Maybe because it will always be a dream for more than 99% of the spectators to travel on that ship?

I don't know if my camera recorded the time correctly (4.50am) but I remember it was quite early that day. The sun was slowly rising, the people around me were expectant to see the QM2, it was warm and the "Fischbrötchen" (bread roll with fish) were very delicious.

Somehow it seems that I am a bit stuck with sunsets and now sunrises, but I really do like the mood about those images.
PP: rotated to level the horizon, cropped, sharpened, adjusted brightness (-5) and contrasts.

I hope you can enjoy it, too.
Thanks for having a look. Have a nice weekend. Kindest regards, Britta

Britta all I can say is that you've captured all that a perfect sunset has ! It's an amazing post !!! Colors, POV, sharpness and details... everything is in perfect harmony.

Really thank you for this lovely post

Allye :)

Beautiful sun set image. Good tones and light. Nice reflation.

Aloha Britta,
Gruss,
Thomas

Hi Britta,

Such a beautiful sunrise! I remember sunsets when I was in Hamburg, they were very gorgeous.
