[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Last year my flatmate and I walked around a lake in northern Germany when we came past these two men. They were enjoying themselves and discussed the best way of fishing. It was funny listening to them as they were completely unaware of us.
A short while later they noticed us but kept on discussing. The didn't mind us taking photos of the scene.
I liked the mood that evening and the light. I thought the reflections of the sunlight and the silhouettes of the men might make an interesting image - so here it is.

PP: sharpened, rotated a bit to the right to get the horizon straight, adjusted highlights, shadows and contrasts, added frames.

I hope you like it. Have a nice rest of the week wherever you are, whatever you do. Kindest regards, Britta

Hello Britta,
The mood of your picture is really strong, thanks to the beautiful contrasts.
Just a pity, however, that you were not able to get the fishermen's silhouettes totally surrounded by water, in order to make them pop out better. Now, their heads somehow "fade away" in the trees on the opposite shore. I suppose it was not possible for you to adopt a slightly higher POV at that particular place, as the landscape looks really flat. Or you could have asked them to sit down for a moment, just for the sake of Photography! ;o)
Anyway, interesting work...
TFS & kind regards,
Erik

Britta,

This is a wonderful shot. I love that you attempted a shot like this into the sun—very difficult to do successfully. I would probably have moved a little to the left and shot at an angle that showed a sliver of space/light between them and from a POV that allowed for their heads to be completely silhouetted by the water.

TFS,
MP
