[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Around here it is raining so much this year, it is disgusting...
The only pause in rain yesterday was short and I tried to get a shot in my garden of a plant just for the pleasure to work on an image again.
The original image was awful, the flower positioned in the centre, too bright and a bit too soft.
In pp I reduced noise, cropped, used gamma correction, adjusted brightness (-15) and contrast (+10), and reduced shadows (-15), midtones (-10) and brightness (-5) to get this image. I than added the white frame, resized and sharpened.
What I like about this image is the DOF.

Hi Britta,
Regen - was ist das?
Hab mich richtig gefreut über das aktuelle Bild und deine Beschreibung. Das ist zwar weder die perfekte Blüte, noch das perfekte Licht dafür aber es ist interessant, was bzw. wie du was daraus gemacht hast.Die Schärfe ist hier wirklich gut gewählt und der schemenhaft strukturierte Hintergrund rettet die Komposition absolut. Für Macroaufnahmen ist 'gedimmtes' Licht eigentlich perfekt - ich freue mich über jede Wolke, denn bei voller Sonne wäre dieses intensive Rot und der weiße Rand garantiert abgesoffen.

Das Wetter hier ist übrigens perfekt! Der Garten freut sich riesig, dass er mitten im Sommer so intensiv gewässert wird. Ich habe heute schon dreimal geduscht. Einmal im Bad und zweimal beim gassi gehen.
Morgen lasse ich das Bad einfach weg - das spart unheimlich.
