Die Stockrose (Alcea rosea, ehemals Althaea rosea) ist eine zweijährige Art aus der Familie der Malvengewächse (Malvaceae), die ursprünglich aus der Türkei oder Palästina stammen. Wegen ihrer im Sommer oder Frühherbst erscheinenden Blütenähren ist sie eine sehr geschätzte Pflanze. Für den Bauerngarten ist sie eine der sommerlichen Leitpflanzen. Die Staude ist normalerweise zweijährig, gelegentlich blüht sie jedoch auch mehrjährig.

Hi Detlef,
I am not familiar with stockrose, but it looks like it could be related to the hollyhocks family. The composition is beautiful and has romantic appeal. The diagonal of the stalk and its bud is effective, it is sharp as I can see trichomes. Best regards...
