i was out testing my new equipment - the 40D & the 100-400mm
- awesome combination, i never thought photographing could be even more fun...


so i made a stop on a nice morning before work at the
Poller Wiesen with a train on the Suedbruecke and the
famous cologne cathedral in the back - and some
Canada Geese on the rhine river in the foreground.

Hi Thorsten...nice shot of Cologne...I have taken a lot of pictures of the cathedral...I could never get the right shot because of all the buildings around it....I wish there was more space...I tried across the river but even they didn't turn out that well. I like how you put it in the background ...nice work.

The compression made by the telephoto lens gives an interesting graphical effect. Well done. In my POV, it is a little bit over exposed.

The landscape of Köln is beautifully captured by you. Exciting view point and a running rain on the bridge is adding life to the perspective. A beautiful shot my friend, well done.
