[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My first try on HDR processing, created 3 exposure using CS3 as my camera dont have the bracketing options to produce 3 exposures. Merge and tone mapped in Photomatrix and enhance in CS3. Composition wise, not sure on the railing in the FG. Tried to clone out the railing but can't make it right, so decided to leave it as is.


The Hohenzollernbrücke (German for: Hohenzollern bridge) is a bridge crossing the river Rhine in the German city of Cologne. It crosses the Rhine at km 688.5. Originally, the bridge was both a railway and street bridge, however after its destruction in 1945 and its subsequent reconstruction it was only accessible to rail and pedestrian traffic.

It is the most heavily used railway bridge in Germany, connecting the stations Köln Hauptbahnhof and Köln-Deutz with each other.

very nice 1st try (I never tried myself). Very nice picture, the colors you got are very nice - almost painting-like. I think that leaving the rail was not to bad - it gives perspective to the scene. Very nicely done - TFS

Bonsoir Ramon,

Nice try for this first HDR. This technic don't seem that easy. I have seen many picture from many photographer and often there is an edge effect that is quite obvious. You did get nice details in most part of the image but their is still a small artificial look in it. I have to try it one of these days and I may not do great for the first time. I feel like it's not that easy.

About the fence in the FG. I beleive it is well as it is. I wouldn't remove it. It creates depth in your image. Still a nice shot and a nice presentation. TFS.

I actually don't mind the railing and am glad you did not clone it for it contributes to the graphical design and helps repeat this concept. A nice view, well framed, the pp treatment is effective. Ingatz hijo.

you have succeeded very well Ramon,the weather was not perfect but I see good amount of light and colors on the details.
