Gemeine Küchenschelle - engl: common pasque flower - Pulsatilla vulgaris
I spotted this plant on a stroll around the town i´m living in. Because of size, shape and location is suspect this is a cultured variety somehow "escaped" from one of the gardens around. I took it as a sign, that finally spring has arrived.
The plant is poisonous, also irritating the skin. Medicinal properties are known, but seldom used in traditional medicine, most probably because of the "handling" problems. |
