Good Morning, TL-folks!

Today, I have posted a picture to declare "Autumn Season's begining", as it is the day of official start of Autumn in Germany.

Most of the people will see this picture as a leaf fighting with a plant disease but I see it other way around :) as a "re-generating" Autumn again this year. Rest, my picture's title defines the story.

Hope you like my today's post.

Have a nice Autumn season in teh days to come!

regards,
Paras

Information on "Autumn" from WiKiPedia:

Autumn (also known as Fall in North American English) is one of the four temperate seasons. Autumn marks the transition from summer into winter, usually in late March (southern hemisphere) or late September (northern hemisphere) when the arrival of night becomes noticeably earlier.

Meteorological Offset Astronomical:

Northern hemisphere
1 September – 30 November
Autumnal equinox (22-23 September) – Winter solstice (21–22 December) [2]

Southern hemisphere 1 March – 31 May[3] Autumnal equinox (20-21 March) – Winter solstice (20-21 June) [2]

In theory, astronomically, the equinoxes ought to be the middle of the respective seasons, but temperature lag (caused by the thermal latency of the ground and sea) means that seasons appear later than dates calculated from a purely astronomical perspective. The actual lag varies with region, so some cultures regard the autumnal equinox as "mid-autumn" whilst others treat it as the start of autumn (as shown in the above table).

Autumn starts on or around 15 September and ends on about 20 December in solar term.

In Ireland, the autumn months according to the national meteorological service, Met Éireann, are September, October and November.[4] However, according to the Irish Calendar which is based on ancient Celtic traditions, autumn counts throughout the months of August, September, and October.[5]

In the Southern Hemisphere, autumn begins around 21 March and ends around 21 June.[2][5]

In Australia Autumn officially begins on 1st March and ends 31st May. [6]
The vast diversity of the ecological zones of the Australian continent renders the rigid European seasonal calendar an imposed cultural concept rather than relevant to climactic conditions. The seasonal cycles as named and described by the various indigenous Aboriginal peoples of Australia differ substantially from one another according to their local geographical and ecological environment and are intricately dependent on local environmental events and resources.

Hi Paras,
A great example of the beginning of Autumn with the decaying of this leaf!
Great details and accurate sharpness with an ample DOF!
Very natural colors and I like the emerging of the leaf from the bottom left which gives a good taste of composition. Nice tight framing too!
Regards,

Francis Xavier

Interesting takes a leaf eaten by insects, good macro, color, sharpness and framing, hugs

Hi Paras

Looks like a grasshopper or caterpillar was very hungry judging from the repetition of the holes in the leaf. The dark bg accentuates the colours. Tfs!

dear Paras,
dying leaves become most vivid red or yellow, in every autumn,
maybe it suggests "re-generating" autumn as your title.
the purposes of "red" are different between red flowers and red leaves,
but we can enjoy both reds for our eyes, it is strange thing.
anyway shining red and broken pattern on this red leaf are picturesque,
and surrounding dark space is excellent,
thank you,
Akihisa
