Its never the easiest way to go against the prevailing wind direction. But sometimes you have no choice.....
The shot is a little overexposed because of the white reflection of the sail and the spray of the water. I tried to correct this mistake a little with photoshop. I hope you like it. |

I like it - for its dynamism and the force of waves portrayed. Looking at the tilt of the vessel I really wonder how did you manage?
Well framed and I like the washed out colours too. TFS Jan

I think the grai and the overexposition creates a coherent mood.

I think it's a great action shot Jan. Well put together. The exposure isn't that bad. A very nice overall picture. TFS,
Glen

OOooh! This is what puts me off sailing! But I love to see the wave action here Jan. What an angle your boat is leaning! Instead of a BW photo it is more a maroon and white colour. Excellent result, well done.
Hello Jan.
This is a powerful shot!
I like the POV,the light, the colours tone..and the grain adds great mood.
Really well done.
Regards, Francesco
Oh wow what a shot!
Jan this is a wonderful, in motion shot, perfect timing!
I like all the shapes the boat offers, makes for an interesting subject.
And well, the shot would be nothing without the crashing waves surroundong the boat. :)
I can barely notice the over-exporuse!
Biance.
