[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My flatmate and I were on a small ferry crossing the river Elbe from Wischhafen to Glückstadt when I saw the neatly woven hawser on board. I tried to capture the structure of the rope wound around the boulders.

PP: I cropped the picture slightly, adjusted contrasts, shadows and brightness and desaturated the picture slightly. Thus there is a light sepia touch to it which I think fits this image.

I hope you like it.

Excellent photo, Heike. I really like it. It is a color photo almost devoid of color - a B&W look/feel. The sepia mood does indeed fit the image. TFS, Heike. Nice work!

nice one and not a dead mouse in sight. ;-)

strong and bold. good sharpness on the rope.
good pp work, especially the desaturation. the 'sepia' has given this depth where as straight b/w would have been too harsh. in my opinion.

your images are improving with great speed.
