Some information from wikipedia.org:
Hibiscus, or rosemallow, is a large genus of about 200–220 species of flowering plants in the family Malvaceae (the mallow family, along with members like cocoa, cotton, okra, baobab and durian) native to warm temperate, subtropical and tropical regions throughout the world. The genus includes both annual and perennial herbaceous plants, and woody shrubs and small trees.

The leaves are alternate, simple, ovate to lanceolate, often with a toothed or lobed margin. The flowers are large, conspicuous, trumpet-shaped, with five or more petals, ranging from white to pink, red, purple or yellow, and from 4-15 cm broad. The fruit is a dry five-lobed capsule, containing several seeds in each lobe, which are released when the capsule splits open at maturity.

This shot was taken at a reservation for butterflies in northern Germany. There you can see a lot of tropical plants and butterflies. But there are also lots of European butterflies.
It is a nice place to be but one has to get used to the air humidity and the temperature.
There was a lot of fog and condensation on the lens of the camera. I had to wait quite a while to have it gone. After that taking photos was great fun because of all the colours.

I hope you like it. Thanks for having a look. Have a great week ahead.
Kindest regards, Britta

Hallo Britta, myneighbour today!
Beautiful macro shot of this flower, you are quite right: the pink tone looks really powerful here. Well focused subject, sharp and detailed exposition of this hibiscus plant. Thanks for the useful note, too.
Have a nice day!
Kristof

welldone and tfs,
warm regards,
Taner

very wel captured crispy and bright flower.POV is wonderful

Hallo Britta,
Thomas
