Hello Elif...
I think I have a soft spot for stairs photographs! But strangely I don't think I ever photographed one myself..? You do it well here, lines are great and with textures to go with it... Your B&W works fine with very pleasing tones...
Regards,
Pablo -
Hi! Elif.
Welcome back and look what you have brought us!! A lovely present for all of us to share:) You say you did not use a tripod for this?! Amazing quality with sharpness and full DOF.
B&W is spot on. Verticals are as 4x5 corrected spot on. Lighting was so good for you here. I can see a 1930's cagney walking down these steps. A wonderfull study that would convince me it was 1930 here. Oh! for a view of Marlene D descending these steps.
Thank you for bringing back this timeless piece Elif!
10/10
Mike.
Very well done, Elif! Rendering it in black & white was a good decision - I really like the lines and the graphic quality of the image. Exposure and composition are excellent and you've created a very pleasing atmosphere with this. Good eye!

Oops - I was on my wife's log-in instead of my own. Sorry for any confusion!

interesting comp, good tones, well done, Elif, nice to have you back, hope you had a wonderful time and some great images to show us, MMMMMMMMMMM (*_*)
Welcome back, Elif, and I hope you had a great time in Berlin & Amsterdam. I am like Pablo and have a weakness for stairs pictures but I have never succeeded in taking a good one. This is very nicely done with a good composition with the curve in the stairs from the bottom to the top. I am wondering if it would have been possible to get the railing in its enterity on the left (but might not have been to get the curve in the stair - sometimes you have to sacrifice one for the other). Nice B&W and good light. Well done!
This is nicely composed,Alif! Beautiful patterns and lovely subtil shadows on the wall and on the stairs! Nice textures also! Very well done! Michel
All those lines and curves going in all directions, superb! Very nice conversion to B&W. Quite atmospheric! Nice to have you back!

Hi Elif; I have seen your comments in my gallery; great to see you back and thanks for your approvals.
I like here the double entrance of the stairs; caused by your zigzag crop.
Nice oldfashioned hotel I think; I hope you could use an elevator.
Thanks Elif and I'll wait for more Berlin pictures !

Hi Elif, this is a very good composition. I like the way the hand rails come in and out of the picture...or so it seems. Very well seen and nice capture. Good idea to turn it to B&W. Excellent,
See you on TL, Marie-José

great lines and composition...i rather enjoy grainy b&w photos...so this is very pleasing to my eye...it reminds me of a photo project i did on stairs last semester for a photo appreciation class...i soon found that once you start seeing lines you cant stop...wonderful shot...nice choice with the long DOF...peace***
Very nice picture B&W.
Great angles, well seen! If this was my picture, I'd probably increase the contrast a bit, but that's probably just because I like very contrasty B&W images. Nice photo.

This looks great. I love the depth. There are a lot of turns. The horizontal and vertival lines in the image are very interseting.
Brilliant staircase photo. my eyes go up and up through the zigzags, excellent nad great use of b&w

Elifcigim,
i love it!
Your point of view is really great!
also your shot made me wonder about this hotel. it should be nice..
b&w is perfect choice for that shot.
i would like to learn about that;
did u add grain or is that orijinal texture of steps?
thanks for sharing..
cok cok sevgiler..
Hi Elif,
I like the way you guide me into the photo. Nice textures and play of lines going in different directions.
As of your note: very cute idea for alternative way of removing noise. tfs

Hi Elif, Excellent and original perspective. I happen to like staircases and this is another good one to see. TFS. Murray.
