This is a stunning macro, Sabine. The light creating stars and the ice melting are quite amazing. Nice details on the ice and on the paperclip. The background is a little bit distracting and I think I would have prefered to have it all black or at least all in one colour or maybe a bit darker shade of grey. Excellent!

And that ice and water really looks like diamonds. I think in fact that if you hadn't explained this you could have ffoled me into believing that this was a piece of moderne jewelry with precious stones set in a blue frame. An interesting macro effect - and to a great extend because of the strong light source.
