Beautiful capture, Sabine, in a wonderful composition. It is very interesting to see him hanging like that but that gives us a very nice view of his underbelly. Great sharpness & colours. Excellent!

I'm jealous, Sabine!! What a capture... over here we do have some woodpeckers, but I never ever spotted one. We just hear their construction work ;o)). A beautiful bird, beautifully captured.

like the details here sabine and the colors ..you had good luck capturing this woodpecker !!maybe I would have rotated the picture ,that way I would not have to turn my head to have a good look at him :-))

Stunning photo - i've been trying to get one as good as this of the woodpeckers that live near me for years and still not managed it. Colours are crisp and detail is excellent.

Hi Sabine,
Den Specht hast Du großartig getroffen. So einen Gast hatten wir auch diesen Winter am Balkon, leider ist die Aufnahme nicht gelungen weil er zu scheu war, wollte nicht posieren. Die Farben sind herrlich und die Feder ich kann nur sagen super.
