[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
And here is one of the photos that didn't get chosen in yesterday's dart throwing selection process for the bicycle challenge, the record of a happy afternoon on the Domplatte, in front of the Cologne Cathedral. This area is the best place for people watching and photographing that I have ever been. There is something constently going on. In one fairly quiet corner, the tricycle cab driver was talking to her bike riding friend while waiting for a customer. The contrast in style between the two vehicles and their riders said take my picture, so I did.

I won't have time to stop by to look at many people's photos tonight, it's late already, but I promise, I'll be looking around tomorrow, real life is making my virtual life on the computer a little limited.

Great entry Lois! Excellent daily life image with great, punchy colors! I liked the pp you did on this, I wonder what the original was like? Anyway, great job, and good luck on the challenge! TFS, Sam :0)

nice shot lois.

well define lines and sharpness. nice colour and composition. Like also the expression of the two lady.

Hi Lois - I do like the post processing here. It turns it into a warm-coloured painting with a nostaligc quality. Very sharp, too. A good composition shwoing of a daily life scene. Thank you for sharing this one!

Good color and detail, nice compo.

The content is gripping. The pp is just right. Any more and would be a travesty ;)
Great counterpoint with the two girls facing each other and the two bikes doing the same in a colour (British, you see!) rendition of some quality comic book appearance. I savour it (Brit spelling again!) with some relish!
As someone else said, where's the unicycle?! Good observation. Good question.
Goodnight, L.

Somethimes is better to hve a real than a virtual life....but knowing the circumstances I wish you could return quickly to the virtual one!
This could be a great entry, too, for the BC!

Nice capture of conversations. This is well done. I like the contrast of colours along the POV.
