[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
We haven't had much winter so far. It has been extremely mild - and grey and cloudy. But on Boxing Day I was coming back from Cologne in the late morning and the sun came out after a night of frost in the Eifel mountains south of Cologne. For about half an hour the landscape looked like this. So what could I do but stop the car and get the camera out?

Technically I cropped and worked on the contrast and the saturation. Then I sharpened before resizing and sharpened again after resizing. This is more or less standard operating procedure with photos from the FZ50 - a good camera, but you need to work on the photos.

Nice winter landscape, good colours. I have the same experience you describe with my FZ30.

The end result is great, very effective.
Yes it is no winter, it is like end October.

Hi Per, wonderful picture 'of the morning,' for sure! TFS. Love the compo you did and the PP turned out very well. I like the little 'tip' you gave on the sizing thing and it may work on some photos I have that are good other than just a bit of 'shake' on it from my unsteady hand. The 350 takes good pics most of the time, but some need massaging and this might be a little extra way of getting more bang for my buck.

Lovely frosty view. We too have no snow in our city. I shouldn't complain really, but I like the snow.

Me jealous!! Still no snow in Flanders, not even night frost! I promised my wife we'd jump in the car and drive to the Ardennes or Luxemburg if the forecast says 'snow', Per, still I missed this. Well ok, it's not that much snow, but it does make the trees look white...
Nice capture, not much negative impact from the double sharpening - only some jaggies in the barbed wire.
Love it! TFS.
