[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In the winter of 2005 I toured through Europe with a group of students & scholars, presenting Romanian Christmas traditions as part of a cultural project.
Here we were just exiting the Kölner Dom, the city's famous Cathedral which houses the relics of the biblical Magi.

My brother, Ionut, doesn't usually like to wear our traditional costume in public, but that time I saw he was enjoying being the center of attention.
The wind decided to join in when the shutter went off, so... here you have both of them.

I blurred out the background because it seemed to me too distracting.

I find this one interesting for the movement it show at the first look! The movement with increased attention due the blured background! Cool presentation with very dynamic movement!

I actually really like how you blurred the background, it emphasizes the nice shallow depth of field and makes the colors on your brother and his clothes more vivid. He pops out at the viewer. Nice smile and powerful eye from him, it is a playful shot, especially with the wind playing with his hair, hiding one eye. Wonderful clarity and detail and really nice range of tones. Very sharp in the foreground and wonderful with Ionut at the side of the photo, drawing the eye all around. Excellent cropping and great textures. Great that the wind decided to pose for the photo too ;P TFS!
