..... - what would have happened if they'd said to the leaders - war?- sorry I have to go home and take care of my children. Start your war without me.
I have asked my father this question but he never answered me. He was 17 when he became a soldier and so was his father and his grandfather.
They simply did what they were told.
I post this under Architecture because it shows one of the view war memorials in Germany that can be found in the center of a city.

My grand father was german soldier during this war. Next he married ma grand mother and became french.

I must admit he never talked about that before. but your right, i think most simple soldiers had preferred stay at home instead doing war.

nice composition, colors and contrast are great.
