This shows part of a typical winery village along the 'Deutsche Weinstrasse' - german wine road -.
Some of the wineries have family business for five or more generations and most of the buildings are beautifully rennovated. Yellow and red sandstone were the most popular building material in the old time and came from the sandstone mines of the palantine woods nearby. |
