Hello Sabine.
Its always hard when a favourite pet dies.
Sometimes you forget at first and go to call her at dinner time. I hope you aren't sad for too long.
I have a nice cat called Jazz who we adopted from the 'Cats Protection League' in the North Island about 10 years ago.
My wife left me with my kids about 2 years ago and Jazz was all I had for company for many months (I lived by myself in a very lonley place far from any towns).
I will have to post some shots of her for you.

But he was old!? Cat don't die like that...
But i remember 2 years ago as i bring my old Cleo who became too much sick after a little more then 16 years. Ho it was cruel to bring her to the final destination. I hope Kathy will give me many good years too but i already know it will be hard to say goodbye... She is more social then Cleo was...

I know what a cat can mean to you... or anyone.
I'm sure you will miss him a lot, but you also have such great memories. Just hold on to that!
I really like this funny image and although it's a little dark in the background the light is very good. It's difficult to not OE on a white fur!
All in all a worhty tribute to a dear friend!

Alas, Sabine... this is the thing I hate about having pets; you know that one day you'll have to say goodbye to them. Very unfair, very hard too. I lost three dogs and a couple of birds so far, so I understand how you both must be feeling. Let the thought that he must have had a wonderful, pleasant life be your consolation...

Sorry for your loss, it is amazing how much we can get attached to our animals. I remember for months after my dog had died I would come home at night and swear I could still see him sleeping at the top of the stairs.
