Frozen Light

Sometimes the climate becomes a bit chilly, even during the Global Warming period. Not only outside our homes, even the "climate" on TL we have those periods. Well this is my exponent of this feeling from the last week....chilly, while the forecast was mild. I'm sure the climate will change in a few days, or maybe even tonight.

And as Tricia wrote in her critique:"If we all head towards the light in (y)our photograph we should come out ok on the other side!"

Be sure, spring will arrive soon!

Took this shot at the German Dutch border near Alstatte at the Alstatte Aa. The sun was right behind the big tree on the foreground.

PP-work:
Shot in RAW, desaturated, increased slightly the contrast converted to JPEG, add frame and text. No crop.

Hallo Hans,

Groet,
Ruut

Hans you have captured the "child" of the last week here perfect in your photograph.. If we all head towards the light in your photograph we should come out ok on the other side!

Nice BW with the perfect control of light... I'm loving this theme on the 22nd you all seemed to get the same exact storm!

Tricia

groeten,
Joop!

Hello Hans,

A chilling monochrome composition is interesting to watch here. Frosty branches with snow are looking magnificient. A beautiful image with charming attraction, well done my friend.

Thanks for sharing this shot.

Bautiful photo, Hans.
Excellent choice B&W for this picture, I like this "frozen" efect of the light, very interesting idea.

Best wishes,
Sorina

Mooie sfeerplaat.

Hi Hans

Fantastic graphism, with good sharpness. The large, dark tree trunk at left, anchors the shot nicely. It certainly looks cold, with all that snow & ice. Well done!

Hoi Hans.
Beetje Ninix achtig.
Fijne zondag.
Jan

Hey Hans !
I like the stromg graphical impact here. The b&w and strong contrasts are 'playing' very well together :-)
Result is a picture with good visual 'punch' :-)

Well done. Best regards, Daniel
