Hallo John.
Good shot of this 'Smart' Animal.
Yes they are smart. During the very hot season in Iran (over 50C.) They stay for hours, even in 30 cm shadows from the wall of a house, haha.
Fijne dag gewenst.

Hi Bro, your note is quite funny with the jack ass, poor thing, if he knew ;))
Good off-center composition of the donkey grazing but it would have been nice if he looked at you. I guess that he was very hungry.
Tfs and take care! sis :)
ps: Ben and I are thinking of where we could go for our vacations for a photo hunt. We are anxious to bring back great photos. Let's hope that we will be able to do one this year ;)

Beautiful John!! Looks a lot like our Jackass! :} Thanks much for the kind words on Self. Only kind words so far but have not heard from good friend Pierre Frigon :} I expect something funny from him, but I can take it :} Don
Even with its back towards us, you still managed to shoot it very 'lively', John. Excellent colours and the DoF looks spot on - at first sight. Because, having looked more carefully, I can see you 'helped' the DoF by adding blur, or am I wrong? It's just that on the left hand side there's less unsharpness than on the same horizontal level on the right hand side.
There's also a slight halo around the top of the animal, which is especially visible around the manes...
I'd like to see the original of this, just to understand why you felt you needed to add blur.
Anyway, TFS

Hi John,
I like very much this composition and POV, the onager is perfectly placed in this image. Also I like the natural colours and clear details and I think it also would work without the blur effect on the upper side. An excellent work, including the note! TFS.
I wish you a wonderful week,
Sorina

Hoi John
Wel een ding is zeker, het beestje heeft een lekker achtergebeuren :-)
Mooie dieptewerking in mooie kleuren.
Had ook nog nooit van deze ezelsoort gehoord.
Conclusie: Er lopen meer ezels rond dan we wisten :-)

Nice colours in the animal John and well composed even if it is a back end view. The halo Frank refers to is cleary visible on my monitor. MAybe instead of the blur effect you added some time spent on cloningout the structures you mention? TFS,
David

Bonsoir, mon ami,
Which beautiful natural colors for this member of the horse family ;O).
Superb grazed shade which cuts out its silhouette on the ground. Cheer for this beautiful capture! I like your frame.

Interesting pov Love the framing! Nice sharp details and wonderful colorI like the blurred out bg. TFs

Hi John! Lovely animal and you very well framed it in the picture. The blur is very effective in focusing the subject. You can duplicate the parts of the image that you lassoed and erase with 50% opacity on the edges so the transition is not abrupt on the grass part. I like the border design and the font style that you used. The intentional POV is funny and lovely! :)
Cheers!
Freddie :)

Leuk bedacht John en je kunt niet zien dat dit in een Zoo is, dus extra mooi daardoor.

I wonder if he can talk, like the donkey in Shrek. By the way, the blue-eyed Arabs in Alberta are having an election right now. The ones in the election ads on TV talk too, but not quite as intelligently .....
Cheers
