Dear Sir John,

Yes, I have travelled on this autobahn and the Köln Zoo is near the bank of the River Rhine. It reminded me my stay in Germany during. A beautiful shot of the running flow of traffice and a wonderful scenary. Well done my friend.

Love the pov here going the distance. Heights are kind of scary so just take a deep breathe and click the camera several times get down and breathe like there is no tomorrow ;) You did great! I love this view!! TFS

Hi John

Good lead in lines, from the freeway bridge, or should that be autobahn? Excellent diminishing linear perspective. I like the hooked curve, at the vanishing point, & high pov. Tfs!

Heb wel een grijns op mijn gezicht bij het lezen van Vandana's commentaar: "...and also remember who scared you were in that cable car." Hahaha heb ik niet geweten :-)
Now the picture itself: a fine perspective view, both lead ins (your specialty) take my eye from bottom to top excellent done. One remark; the horizon appears not to be level. Overall a fine posting John. Good memories.

Hi John,

Very intresting composition and POV, excellent details you captured and natural colors. I remember, exact one year ago, after a day spent in Zoo Koeln with my son (next to the cable car station), he wanted "flying" with the gondola over the Rhein and we visited another bank too, in that beautiful park with a mini-train in which, of course we had a ride. :-)
So you have fear of heights, in this case we cannot take photos from the Campanille in Piazza San Marco. :-))

Photography can sometimes be an extreme sport. The perspective here is very nice and I was wondering how you managed to shoot this till I read your note. You had the best vantage point. The image is sharp and the depth of field is perfect.

Hi John,
I was wondering how you took this photo! Cable car! I'm dizzy just looking at the photo, much less how I would feel had I been there! LOL. It's a nice shot of the autobahn. My eyes want to follow the road throughout your photo. Nice perspective of the road, river, and the flags add interest too.

Now, how are you going to shoot the Golden Gate Bridge from above in California?? :D

This is some fine POV here.
Great view onto the autobahn.
I like the crop where the bridge covers all bottom part of the image from one corner to the other.

At first I thought it was taken from an airplane's window while preparing to land at a nearby airport ;-)

Hello frere, this is very nice and what a chance there is a cable cabin over the autobahn :) And Koln, the city where was held the Koln Concert of Keith Jarrett.
This is very well done, what a great pov, so sharp, great mood, nice light even if it was a cloudy day.
I didn't know you are afraid of heights :)

The lead in lines do indeed make this very effective. I love all the flags and their colours marching off into the distance. A wonderful skyline makes it a great composition, indeed. It is a wonderful view and it must have been thrilling to be in the cable car to capture it. I am pleased your photography instincts won over your fear of heights, so we could enjoy this marvelous view too. Very well done.

I'm a bit afraid of heights too John! So keeping a camera in hand distracts the fear enough! It was the only way I was able to ride in that helicopter last spring! Very nice shot, love the cars on the bridge! Much more interesting that just the river!

Mooi hoe je die railings in de hoeken hebt geplaatst terwijl de baan niet saai naar het midden van de foto loopt, John. Echt een goeie compo. Het licht is hier ook best goed, zelfs zonder zonneschijn.
Voor de drop shadow moet ik zeggen dat de hoek die je gebruikte voor mij niet echt werkt, het licht zou zo van onderen moeten komen... Maar goed, da's framing en je kent mijn mening daarover hé.
