*Southbridge Graffitis*
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This shot (and a few more) i took in january at
the Suedbruecke in cologne-poll.
The bridge is for trains and pedestrians only and this
is inside the stairway to get on the bridge in
order to cross the rhine.
as in most big cities this "free" space is covered with
all kinds of graffitis.
the bridge was rebuilt in 1950 and the interior still
looks like it was from that times with the metal
and the wooden handrail in the yellow light.
in order to "learn something about photography" or
better PP-work i tried a different B&W-version to
which i added some grain - please have a look in the
WS-section - which looks better? or have a go yourself, i am
looking for some good ideas. :-)

Hi Thorsten!
Original graffiti. Good point of view. Good capture. Interesting take.
Cheers!
Original shot, as the graffiti artwork.
Good POV and handling of the light.
I prefer this color version to the WS, also if there you added grains that are full of fashion.
TFS
Ciao, Antonella
Hello Thor!
This is a nicely balanced shot with great colors and contrasts and an interesting subject - looks like that everywhere in the world, seems like taggers don't have much originality but appear to copy one another stylistically.
The WS looks good as well, can't really compare since the b/w version with the grain has the look of a aquatint etching, while the original color version has tones reminescent of an aged oil painting.
Cheers and Greetings from Canada

G'Day,
I like the image. The colour I like better then the B&W. The B&W is perhaps too grainy for my liking. The colour also adds some warmth to the image whereas the B&W is quite cold.
Well composed image. I like the handrail moves towards the intersection of the thirds.
Hello Thorsten,
I love seeing such graffiti shots.
Good ambience and light.
Well composed shot with details. TFS
