[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Die Rosen (Rosa) sind die namensgebende Pflanzengattung der Familie der Rosengewächse (Rosaceae). Sie sind durch ihre typische Merkmalskombination von Stacheln, Hagebutten und unpaarig gefiederten Blättern eine sehr gut abgegrenzte Gattung. Rosen werden seit mindestens 2000 Jahren als Zierpflanzen gezüchtet. Das aus den Kronblättern gewonnene Rosenöl ist ein wichtiger Grundstoff der Parfum-Industrie. Gärtnerisch wird zwischen Wildrosen und Kulturrosen unterschieden. Die Wissenschaft von den Rosen wird als Rhodologie bezeichnet.
