Hello Friends.
'My Home is My Castle'.
No doubt, King Ludwig told that to his friends.
On 22 Januari 1867, Ludwig became engaged with his cousin, Princess Sophie Charlotte of Bavaria, a sister of Empress Elisabeth of Austria, the Legendary "SISSY", whom he revered so much.
The wedding date was set on 12 October, but two days before that, He cancelled the wedding. Sniff.!
For his people, he became the 'Fairy-Tale King'
Have a nice day, enjoy your house.
Jan

Home away from home.
Sounds like the Fairy King had cold feet.
I can imagine this building could get very cold in winter, and the sunny wall looks very inviting.
Interesting to see how the 'other half' live

Malik & Mary.

Just like my house.... in my dreams. But to enjoy it I need a lot of servants. LOL. I saw the movie "Sissy" a long time ago, and I did not remember that. Maybe I can find the rest of the story by internet, or try to rent the movie, if available. Beautiful building. Great paintings almost on the top, on the 5th floor. Now, I can say that today I saw Sissy´s house. Saludos.

So he could enjoy ""single"'life again in here.

Hi Jan, Your photos are getting very high standard now, such as this one. The POV is good as is the cropping. Clear blue skies make an ideal backdrop. Very good notes with this series. We visited here after meetings in Augsburg just north of here. A wonderful part of the world. TFS. Murray.

Bonjour Jan,
Bien vu, jolie composition
Amitiés
Odile
